X95 with Optimus handguard, show me your weapon light set ups, please. I love the Optimus compared to the OE, however, I have yet to get my weapon light configured they way I want it. That said, I do have a "plan", but would love to see what everyone else is using. Current plan, is to use a Streamlight Protac HL-X in an Arisaka offset Mlok mount, which should give me perfect placement. But, I am on the fence on mounting the tap switch. Below is where I want it, I wish there was mlok slots there, but there isn't. I also wish there was a tape switch "housing" similar to a Cloud Defense LCS for streamlight tape switches.

After some Dremel and drill work and some parts from Shaffer Machine, I have it the way I want it. That said, I really think there should be MLok slots at the 11 and 1 O'clock positions on the Optimus.

That said, I really think there should be MLok slots at the 11 and 1 O'clock positions on the Optimus. @bigcraig The problem of what you wanted is how a mold works, adding slots on the 45 degree angles would mean additional mold actions that would roughly double the cost of an already very, very expensive mold. At this point it is not possible to add them to the existing mold, and if I am to be honest you are the only person who has ever expressed an interest in slots there, sorry. That being said, your setup is pretty damn cool though, and glad you were able to work it out to your liking!  Sven Manticore Arms |
