My XDS -45 ACP 3.3 MOD 2 that i bought new 2 YEARS AGO will not properly function with the 4 OEM mags i have . ALL AMMO AND ALL WEIGHT GRAINS FROM 185 TO 230 GRAIN HOLLOW POINT AND BALL AMMO HAVE FTF problems . I have tried loading the mage full and with one less round and even 2 less rounds , the the problem persists. It has consistent FTF issues and has been properly cleaned and lubed. Is this a common issue with the XDS -45 ACP 3.3 MOD 2 . I have to get this problem resolved ,or sell it ,divulge the problem to the buyer and take a loss and give up . I have some older Springfield Armory weapons, a 45 1911, a MIA rifle, and a HK 91/G3 type rifle, they all have been GTG. I bought the XDS -45 ACP 3.3 BECUSE OF THE COMPACT SIZE TO USE AS A ccw. As it stands it is useless. Should i send it into Springfield to be repaired . Is this a common issue with this pistol ?

Spoke to customer service, will send it in for repair . They sent me a FEDEX label and I SENT IT IN. So far it looks like Springfield has the best, friendliest fastest customer service .Hope they can sort out MY XDS-45 3.3 MOD 2 TO FUNCTION PROPERLY.

I have 3 of the original XDS, as I loved the original design (grip texture). I have only fired about 400 rounds thru the one I carry all the time. I have never has a malfunction of any kind. I can give to friends to try and they will have failures to feed. I do know that on my particular XDS .45, it requires a really firm grip as any sort of limp wrist or light grip will cause the gun to FTF. Just my particular observations of my gun. |
