I'm on my second batch now. I might still be on my first batch, except I've given several sample bottles away to friends and family along with the recipe. I finally finished up my first two batches. I tend to go a bit heavier on the mixture when adding it to the washing machine than I mentioned in the OP, say 1/2cup per large load. Given the inexpensive nature of this product, I don't see the downside. It's fun to fill up used Tide bottles and think that each time I empty one, I've saved roughly $9.50. |

Wife and I are very excited. Went to Walmart and bought enough ingredients and buckets/lids to make about 40 gallons of soap. I just got done making the first batch, if it works well I am making some up for my folks, and aunts/uncles. Let's hope it works!! Thanks for the heads-up on this, another great way to save $$$!!!  |

I was messing around in the super walmart recently and they have finally completed their remodel and are now layed out like most other super walmarts. Used to be they had some sections in different areas, like pets where cosmetics should be and cosmetics where housewares should be and what not. Anyway, while messing around in the cleaning isle I found fels naptha soap, borax, and washing soda. Never have seen the washing soda in a wally world before this so I bought more of everything so their little computer sees it selling. Figured I would mention this so people start looking if they are having trouble finding some stuff. The local food city in another town had washing soda, they generally did not stock much and were slow to replace it so while they would say they had it I never could find any to buy. With fuel prices up I tend to hit stores as I go somewhere or return from doing something and it is nice to see wally world stocking stuff. |
