I have been doing better on 20m in the evening unto around 10 - 11 PM here lately.
10m, 12m, and 5m bands are finally starting to pick back up for me, they were kind of dead for the last couple of weeks since the solar eclipse. |

grey line has always been good here. Was kind of surprised the other morning when I nabbed Japan and Australlia on 40m ssv at 4am in the morning. My antenna is not really high either.

20 is not on fire. Making two DX contacts does not define 'on fire"
Only the Old Timers today have seen good DX propagation. Its due to sunspots, and they have been almost zero since 2015. WHEN it does become "on fire" youll know it. This aint it, regardless of how badly we want it to be... WHEN it happens, well be working world-wide on a few watts WB4CTW told me that in the 70s he worked all Continents with a converted CB radio on 10 meters MOBILE from a parking lot. When its "that" then its "on" |

Mid-Sept to November has been a really good time for 10m the last two years. |

The Noobies shouting " great conditions" are often using excess power. EU from the East US shouldnt take more than 20 W. Its not that far. There are way too many violating FCC power rules using amps to just get across the pond. Its not good condx when its only " once and a while I can make contacts." Under good condx its daily.Been there, seen that " back in the day" |

Tonight, I could hear 4X4WN in Israel great, but there was such a pile up of people with amps there was no way I was getting through.
