If you wrap your NET messages, they will get re transmitted from here.  Maybe like your last call for checkins?

Did you send any warnings or do you see any of my messages ?

I have sent 30 and 15 minute warnings on 14067.5

I haven't received anything

20m is not a friendly band for me on here, but i figured it's a good chance for relays....as long as you and I connect.

I got nothing. I think its running a bit long tonight.  I ran FT8 at 5W and was hitting eastern Europe and West coast with a hole in the middle US.

Either call fail or 40m ?

Running a shortened preamble on 14067.5., because I don't know if I'm getting out to anyone. If no response,  will try it again on 7120.

I have you about 90% copy here on 20m.

We appear to be working on 20m, inclined to stay here. DLV, hopefully someone will pick up your station

That figures. Will switch to 7120 for a short post net, probably by 8:25eastern plus/minus.

There's a CW signal right on the edge of the channel.

There's VARAHF all over the channel on both edges.  I just had to fix my mode from LSB to USB-Data

Thanks for NCing GreenDragon. The anesthetic they used hit me way harder than usual and I just coming out of it now,
almost 8 hours later. On the bright side I only annoyed my wife with constantly repeating things because I didn't remember
saying them, instead of the whole net!

Prop seemed pretty decent tonight.

5 stations + NC this week. Thanks for checking in everyone!

I saw something on the waterfall, but it was pretty faint.

I wonder if maybe most of your TX power is getting absorbed.

I have some downtime this week if you want to try a sked to debug your setup.

That would be awesome.  I don't have any free time until Friday, then Saturday night.  I'll get with you on IM.

Try your rig on FT8.  Send out CQs on 5w 15w and 25w.  Use the pskreporter web site to plot your outreach.

I'd be curious if you're outputting much power, seems like a levels issue or the audio out isn't making it to the radio. Id turn the monitor on then turn on all the meters and make sure you are outputting audio and using power when transmitting.
Link Posted: 9/14/2023 8:47:34 AM EST
[#26]
Did this to myself, in my setup I forgot to set the audio path to the radio. The radio keyed, but no output, running an outboard tuner with a meter helps. When, in transmit, if the audio comes out of the computer speakers, it's a clue.
As above, if any one wants help with their setup please PM me.
73,
Rob

Nice net! Conditions were very good and everyone was S7-S9 here with SNRs pushing close to 8-10dB.

That made for it to be rather speedy as well.

Four stations + NC this week.

OK, five stations + NC tonight. Most stations were S7 to S9+, prop decent on my end.

Thanks for checking in!

I think our Olivia digital net is just about as reliable as it gets. We’ve got some folks checking in every week no matter what. In a real emergency situation this is the kind of net reliability that I want. Kudos to our net controls and all the regular check-ins.

I think we have a total bust maybe once or twice a year at most. That, combined with the tests we've done in the past
makes me think we pretty much have guaranteed CONUS coverage at least a few hours a day.

If the internet ever goes down, at least we'll know it's down everywhere!

I'll be present to NC tonight's net this week. Planning on 20M but we're probably getting closer
to the time of year when 40M will work better -- if the station is working smoothly after the 2330Z
announcement on 20M maybe we can pop over to 40M and check prop.

Yeah, we'll be staying on 20M tonight.

I didn't even realize it but I was running 2X my normal power on 40M, pushing close to 300W and it still blows.

I copied TX on 20m and VA on 40m, both were decent signals. NCS is much better for me on 20m.

Wow, big turnout tonight with two new stations that appear to have just heard us and tuned in.

8 stations + NC this week.

Propagation was pretty decent, heard everyone OK, even at 10W.

Great net tonight, working much better here.

Thanks N**** for running the net.

Wow, huge turnout tonight.  We have not gone on like that for a while.  Great to see.

My 80 Meter NVIS antenna produced an interesting phenomenon.  Many times it copied as well as my vertical simply because of S/N.  I have read that a lower antenna gets less noise.  Not sure if it is true, but appears to be true here.

I'll be around to NC tonight. Current plan is to stick on 20M until it doesn't work, based
on how much better 20M was over 40M last week. Presumably we'll go to 40M in the
winter, but if the sun cooperates that might be a while.

First reminder out at 2330Z.

#2 at 2345Z

#3 at 2350Z.

#4 at 2355Z... And I've heard zero testing signals.

I was worried since I didn't see any testing, but we ended up with five stations + NC
this week with everyone at least S7 and the majority S9 at my QTH.

20M continues to work very well. Also impressed with those signals given one was
POTA and another was 10W.

I was operating with a hamstick.  The only SSB I did during my activation was hunting on 20. I got through to every park on my first call.  I'm sure I would've had quite the pileup if I was CQing on 20 SSB.  Not ideal when trying for all the bands.

Band started to fade a little near the end, but pretty solid overall this week.

I counted 6 stations plus one drop-in, plus NC tonight.

Note that I will be away during net time until 11/8 so we'll need a volunteer NC for the next couple weeks.
