I should be around to NC tonight's net. Reminders start at 2330Z, 7120 KHz.

Tip...

Positioning the cursor in the text window at a position other than after the last character may result in odd behaviors, like partial message sending and continuous transmission of no data.

click to position the cursor after the last character before sending.

Nice net, conditions were a little rough but everyone was 100%

Five check ins plus NC tonight.

FLdigi's cursor gets everyone in the end, though I've had similar glitches from RF in the shack as well.

We probably need a volunteer NC this week -- I have an appointment an hour before net time
and the place is notorious for running late. If they're on time I'll only be able to get out net reminders
around 10 and 5 minutes before the net.

If I'm back by net time I will NC, otherwise I'll check in (or worse case miss the net entirely due
to being late.)

I'm unlikely to make the net tonight or I'd call it. The std time interferes with family dinner, it's a lot easier to get to the shack during dst

I got to the shack, I'll call the net unless there is someone else staged to do it.

Small net tonight, not surprising when I didn't say I'd NCS until a minute before time. We had one in/out check-in and the net closed at 1912est.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to stick around, but had company at the house tonight.  Haven't heard you on the air for awhile.

Thanks, Nmbmxer!

As expected there was a delay and just got home. Hopefully next week will be a little better attended.

I will be able to NC tonight's net, thankfully.

It's the perfect opportunity to test out the latest stuff santa brought, so I hope to hear a few more stations than
checked in last week.

I will try to be there, but I'm still one state away from home. I should've left a few hrs ago, but things popped up.

I won't make it, out to dinner with the family.

And I won't be able to make it.  It's our 49th anniversary and I kinda, sorta, oughta go out to dinner with my wife tonight!

Small net, two stations made it in.

Conditions allowed 100% copy but signals were S5 with light fading, so not good, not terrible.

If I remember I'll turn the rig on for NYE around 0000Z (new years's UTC) and leave it running.

I should be present to NC tonight's net; approaching snow storm might result in a little bit higher
noise floor and propagation is up in the air, but we'll see how it goes.

Little late updating, but we had 4 stations + NC tonight. 100% copy on all, but pretty big spread on
signal strength -- S3 to almost S9.

I should be able to NC tonight.

Im an idiot. Squelch slider was turned up. Decoding now; just in time for NC to send 73. Lol

Conditions were pretty sad this week, all but one station was S5 at peak, SNRs were running from 0 to about 5dB
for the most part. 100% copy on all, though.

Four stations + NC this week.

Probably just conditions tonight, they were about as bad as I've seen in probably a year or so.

It was noisy here tonight, I wasn't decoding ncs about 10% of the time so I just in/out'd.

Can anyone help on how to properly report a signal, ex.   S7 +5db

S7 is radio signal meter ?  Is 5db from the fldigi app ?

Correct on both counts. the fldigi app reports SNR in the 2nd box on the bottom left of the window.

Those do look high, if I had to guess you're running a filter. The SNRs are reported for a 2500Hz passband,
if you filter that narrow (like using a 500Hz wide filter) it will jack the SNRs up quite a bit.

Subtract 20 from the reports you'll right where you should be.

Good conditions tonight. 6 check ins plus NC. Almost forgot a sub was needed until right before net, missed all warnings except 5 minute.

I should be able to NC tonight, but we are in the middle of a heavy snowstorm and I've lower power
for a few hours... back now but should be OK.

If I have to run a plow instead of a radio, will update.

Running the net still looks good, but with all the snow on the tuner and antenna the amp freaks out as
soon as I run power... but the Icom is happy at 50%.

So I won't be QRO tonight, hopefully everyone hears me. In theory I'll be 4-5dB down from my usual power.

Had to make those HF photons work hard tonight, but got it done.

We had six station + NC tonight.

Hopefully next week the antenna and tuner are dryer and more cooperative. The 7300 showed high SWR
at times but never really seemed to get upset over it.

For those not tied up in valentine's day duties:

I should be around to NC tonight, slight chance I could be late but not very likely.

I plan to dig the snow out around the antenna before the net this time to see if I can get the damn thing
to tune for QRO.

I should be checking in, but I will probably be I/O tonight.

Pretty weak band tonight but I had almost everyone at 100%, the one that wasn't was still better than 90%.

Five stations plus NC tonight.

We'll need a volunteer NC for the 2/21 net, as I'll be away working.

I should be back for a few weeks after that, but we'll probably need another volunteer on 3/20 as well.
