Me and my dog, Dan, took 4 clients on our first hunt for big ducks this year. Their limit was 24, we got 23. A little bit better shooting would have produced that last bird Today was a good day.

Nice job
Looks like mostly puddlers
We are just getting Mallards migrating and divers have been around for a couple of weeks.
Alot of Redheads and Scaup this year.

You're right. Very few mallards here right now. This warm weather sucks.

I'm sure you know this,  but the only thing Mojos are working on are divers.
They're already skiddish of anything spinning, unless you are hunting a fresh cut cornfield.

Old-fashioned jerk cords with Canada butts work for the puddlers.

Watch your flocks of geese,  alot of Mallards/Pintails flying with them.
Feeding chuckles,with a very limited highballs work.
Everyone here thinks that they have to knock them down with sound waves.

A little is more..

I call very little, usually whistles and peeps like pintail and widgeon. I agree completely. Most duck hunters call way too much. This ain't Stutgart.
