The first gen GAK really captured my attention.

Victorinox discontinued the Safari Trooper (red scale version) years ago and they are $100+ on eBay.

Lots of repro GAKs on eBay are $35++

Ok, after finding this site from your post and searing for a few items I can say. They have some good finds.

$18 German BW folding knife "should" come with a wrap-around, clip-on shield for saw blade; not mentioned in ad.  Maybe mentioning it to the vendor will help.  It "appears" that the main blade is 3", but that is just going from the pix and comparing it to a similar Chicom copy whose blade is longer than 3".  No guarantees.

$25 German BW knife has aftermarket textured Titanium grips available on ebay which grips allow installation of typical "large" Victorinox tweezers and toothpick.  May be worth the price to some.  Serrated main blade will require a round, tapered sharpening device to correctly sharpen it, and with typical Victorinox stainless steel, you'll need to sharpen it occasionally.

Both are excellent knives but suggest searching for them on Ebay.  Beware of Chicom copies.
