My family picked around 12 gallons of salmonberries (cloudberries) 10 gal of blackberries about 10 gal of blueberries 5 gal of lowbush red berries Still not done but we are getting close to no room in the six freezers  Hope you all have a good crop. |

I picked 21.5 gallons of blackberries from my patch and let the neighbor pick about a gallon and a half. My previous high crop was 14 gallons in 2019. There were more berries but the temps were in the high '90's and I was tired of spending at least two hours out there even after the berries were dwindling. The fairies got about a half gallon, maybe more. I'll see about getting photos of the row tomorrow. I haven't started pruning. |

Was only a short 3hr boat ride. |

Coworker brought in 2 grocery bags full of muscadines . They were good. I haven't had one in a long time and it brought back a lot of memories. Vitis rotundifolia, or muscadine, is a grapevine species native to the southeastern and south-central United States. The growth range extends from Florida to New Jersey coast, and west to eastern Texas and Oklahoma. It has been extensively cultivated since the 16th century. The plants are well-adapted to their native warm and humid climate; they need fewer chilling hours than better known varieties, and thrive in summer heat.
