Man, this Winston Air 2 is mind blowing. I haven’t fished for trout on dry flies in over 20 years. I still fly fish in salt water so I’m not totally out of practice, but this rod puts the fly EXACTLY where I want it. Attached File Wife caught a nice one Attached File Attached File All three of the stretches we floated were amazing. Great scenery, great water, lots of trains. We also got to see Kootenai falls and had a great dinner in Libby. Libby sports center is crazy; yuuuuge gun collection on the walls. One of our guides was skeptical when we met him the first day. I’m sure we looked like typical yuppies with a bunch of new shit. I think by lunch the first day he understood that I wasn’t a total rook. Both were fantastic, they were very patient with my wife; she’s much more confident in her casting ability after this trip. I think she’s hooked! She was quite taken by my new fly rod. This is going to be expensive for me.

Very nice! Looks like you guys had a blast! I’m a big fan of Winston rods. The “Winston Green” is gorgeous especially when the sunlight hits it. When you’re fishing all day, it’s nice to have something that feels great in your hands, cast superbly, and looks fantastic. It’s that pride of ownership thing and Winston is a known quantity. There is one lady that has been doing all of the handwriting on all of the rods for years. . . IIRC, her name is Barb Weir.
