Anyone know if the radio can be connected to a vehicle radio via Bluetooth once the Bluetooth module is installed?

The radio manual talks about connecting to a headset.  It would be great if I could connect it to the radio in my Jeep which does have Bluetooth.

Thanks.

"Bluetooth Profiles".
If it can go to a headset, the headset's supporting HSP or HFP.
Your car stereo can probably do HSP, HFP, A2DP, SPP, all sorts of other profiles.
When they pair, they go through a negotiation process and figure out what profiles are common, and use what they can.

Long way to say if it works with a headset, it'll very likely work with your car stereo.

My XPR's and Vikings play nice with the stereo in my pickup, cheap bluetooth phone headsets, and helmet headsets.

You will need the add-on card for bluetooth connectivity. The card is a separate purchase, unless you bought it when you bought the radio.

Yup.  The card is $90.

The radio is mounted to the passenger side, sidewall of the Jeep (2dr Wrangler) next to the back seat.  It's kind of hard to hear sometimes.

Being able to use the stereo to listen to the icom could be nice at times.

We'll see.  Have to think about it.

I can't speak for the IC-2730. But several guys in my local club use Anytone radios through their vehicle bluetooth system without issues. I'll be interested to see if it work for you. I'm thinking about getting the IC-2730B when they come out for my vehicle. I'm using a 2730A as my base station right now and really like it.

I don't really want to add a speaker.  Not sure where I would mount it.

The control head for the radio is mounted at the top of the dash in a Bulletpoint brand mount.  Also have a mount for a phone and a tablet (since the built in GPS no longer works).

I'll typically use my phone for GPS but, depending on what I am doing, it is nice to have a larger map on the tablet.
