I just found out that my friend TimJ, author of one of my favorite fictional stories, "Cold Camp", has passed away. I thought I'd share the reading I did of it on youtube again in his honor. You will be missed my friend.  Cold Camp |

Hey Hawkeye. I just posted in the GD thread about the book, thought it was you who did the YT series. Is there any way we could put Cold Camp on Kindle and set the money to go to a trust for his family? Publishing an e-book isn't hard. I just don't know what his wishes were. RIP Tim. |

I'm not sure what all is involved either. He gave me free permission to do with the story what I wanted, but it was only verbally so I don't have anything in writing. No sure how that would affect actually being able to do anything further with it. I'd love to get something done with it but like you I'm not sure what all would be involved. |

If there was a witness that heard or was aware of his statement, then you could move forward and have it published. If not, his estate might claim ownership, in which case, it's not worth the hassle. You could talk w/ his family and tell them your plans and get them to sign off. Sad to hear of Tim's passing. Cold Camp was one of the first survival stories/books I'd ever read. I liked it. |
