Wash it, they are made to be cleaned. Mild soap and water. Will improve it a bit. Dry it out with a towel then air dry some more.
If you don’t clean them, you then get to re-experience whatever chemical agent it was last used in, so you always want to clean them after using them in real life…
If you get hazing problems on the clear sections of a mask, you can use rubbing alcohol to clean it off. Won’t last forever, but it works temporarily. Some masks have that issue more than others. Never had it with my Scott, but did with others.
And yeah - speaker inserts help for comms.
