Get friendly with your local food banks and wait for a hurricane to come by. After getting hit by Ian, FEMA left several pallets of MREs and ten year water at a local community center. No one would touch the stuff. The center was getting ready to haul all of it to the dump. I currently have 60+ cases of MREs on hand and put together a few dozen 7 day kits for family and friends.

An option with the HDRs would be to have canned or freeze dried pork, beef or chicken and add to your taste.
