 Think I'm going to take my bike hunting this year just to make it easier to get to and from my sit. Going to use this little trailer. I can throw my pack in the basket but I need a raised platform above the wheels. I want to lay my client on it or be able carry a deer out. What should I get at lowes? I'm think of using PVC to make a raised frame. Attaching it to the frame might be an issue. Better suggestions so I don't wander aimlessly forever trying to be inspired. And what is the brand name of those handlebar rifle racks that have quick detach feature? |

Venturesurplus.com probably has the battlefield stretcher. My concern would be ground clearance on all but the best terrain. It would seem easier and cheaper to modify a game cart as they are meant to haul a deer and have much more clearance. Since a human is +/- deer sized it would be easier to haul them than the o e you want to modify which seems to be “tippy” with any load on top over that small area. Post pics of what you end up with. I would love to be wrong on this. |

I would love to be wrong on this. Yeah, bought it used and it was smaller than i thought when i went go pick it up but it should still be ok. Our WMAs maintain the trails fairly well so the trails beyond the closed gates are pretty flat. I can basicallyl ride almost to anyplace i away to set up a stand. |

Are you rock crawling with it or pulling it down well trodden paths? I just attach mine and pedal/motor away. The first ride will let you know what needs to be done. |

Basically just decent wma vehicle trails....Florida so basically just flat terrain with rocks to worry about. I picked up a 40 gallon craftsman tote. I'm going to mount it today. Think this is going to be a bonus project because now I can throw a lot of my camping and hunting stuff in there for off season storage. Winner. I'll post up completed pictures when I'm done. |
