I have MSR pocket rocket stove, so I have the fuel on hand. Wanted a small lantern with decent output and picked this one up the other day. seems well built. |

How long would something like this run on a can? I have an emergency stove in the truck that takes these containers but it seems like a little solar/led lantern would be easier.

Ive seen these and wondered if the mantles need to be replaced every time after you pack it up and get it out.

I've had the same mantle in mine for ~30 days of camping. Mostly car camping, granted, but with an 8 year old that likes to play with things when I'm not looking.  The mantles aren't overly fragile.
