DNR regs state you have to wear "hunters orange" during firearm deer season. Considering we hunt public land less than 15 miles from the state capital it would be suicide not to. Its a challange just to find a place to sit where you cant see another hunter. |

Dropped a doe, dropped another doe, doe number 1 tried to get up I swung back and fired to fast and sent a round just over the top, steadied myself and fired a again, put her down for the count, swung left and picked up doe #3 one round put her in the dirt as she and another were running towards me at a diagno, I felt the bolt lock back on that shot, so I Dumped the AR and transitioned to my 1911. I gave a loud bleat and doe#4 slammed on the brakes at about 50 yards. I put one round of Hornady 230 grn HP behind her shoulder and she folded up, tried to get up and then gave in. |

Opening morning in Ok. can kill two does in my area. At 8:30 saw doe at about 60 yrds, shot an all hell broke loose, does running everywhere. The one I shot ran around in about 30 yd circle an fell dead. Looked up, another doe standing about 75 yrds shot, doe ran about 40 yrds behind brush. So I knew I had one down an maybe another. Walked over towards the second doe an there she lay. Have hunted that spot for a few years an never saw a deer, now in a few seconds two nice does on the ground.
Gun, Stag Ar15 M4 5.56 with bushnell 1.5-4 ill.dot. Ammo, Fusion 62 gr Also heart an lungs were tore up real good, overall real satisfied with the outcome. http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af243/mrtrkdrvr/IMG_0594.jpg |

Me and a friend shot these two within about 10 yards of each other during the muzzleloader hunt. Not trophies, but are still damn tasty. I used a Lyman Deerstalker .54 with a 295gr Powerbelt and it flattened the deer. My friend used a Hornady 250 gr xtp from a Remington m700 and his deer ran about 25 yards or so.
