Good meat hunt for me in ‘23 on Christmas Eve. Lights out for Bambi’s momma and all the meat intact! 180gr 308 to back of the head.

1-19-24
LaRue AR, 6.5 Grendel, 120gr TTSX handload, 172 yards, quartering towards. Entered at the neck passing just under the scapula and exited as you can see in the pic. Ran about 60/70? yards into brush and pines and briars so thick you couldn't stand up in places. He was the last of nine deer to enter the field, including a smaller buck. Well Rifle Season finally ended. Still got a month if I want to archery hunt.
Got these two on Saturday.  My son also got two. |
