Pics to follow at some point: Hunting rigs are a combination of whatever upper and lower I need for a task. Currently there is a 24" Bushmaster Varminter upper, 20" bull barrel (fun show special) upper and a 16" 450 Bushmaster upper in the stash. Lowers...the original Varminter now wears a Magpul PRS and palmswell bench rest grip. Has a JP 2 stage trigger. The 450 lower has an A2 stock though this will be swapped for a skeleton and a Giessele or Timney trigger installed. Also have a CMMG telestock lower for field use. Varminting usually sees the 24" upper atop the CMMG lower and a 6-24×50 Monarch III mounted. Nicely portable and accurate. |
