I had a pretty crazy thing happen to me this past weekend. A bunch of us were down at the Texas Renaissance Festival near Todd Mission. We had our usual crew of reprobates in our Shadow Wolf Clan Camp on Row 8. (You can see Dog Mahal 2.0 on the right behind the blue Gladiator). Friday morning I'm trying to walk off the hangover and head down to the far end of our row. As I'm walking by, I see a Lance 1010 truck camper just like the one my wife and I had. Turns out it was the one we owned! When I walked back down a couple hours later, I realized it had the same solar panel and dings as the one we sold 7+ years ago. I'm looking at the people sitting next to it and thinking, "these aren't the people I sold it to." So I got to talking to them and asked how they liked it. Turns out they'd had it for 2 years and were using the shit out of it. They'd bought the camper and (their) truck from the people I sold it to. I finally let on that I'd bought it new in 1999 and wondered it if was still being used. It was a small world thing for all of us. Unfortunately, they really like it so I'm not going to get it back for cheap. I mailed out a bunch of stuff I still had for it to them yesterday. What were the odds?  And my favorite picture of the old girl.  |
