it's been crazy all weekend. the best has been the pissing matches on 14,300. as you may know, the MM (Maritime Mobile) net (link) has been running EVERY DAY on that frequency for about 40 years. well, along comes a 20m contest and everyone and their brother is calling "CQ contest, CQ contest" on 14,300. hilarity ensures. ar-jedi |

tune there now -- more "CQ contest, CQ contest" booming in and the MM net control op is effectively helpless against the 1500W contest stations.  There's a guy, NR5T calling CQ contest on 14.313, and some other guy calling the same with the same call, the first guy is sounding agitated, "I'm the REAL NR5T", and the second guy just keeps mimicking him. Are contest weekends always like this? |

It's Saturday nite, and I have some quality radio time coming. GA QSO party is going on, we might find a free freq. edited; foreign broadcast station on 7215 tonight around here, MN I'll be around 7220 +/- edit again. contest station on 7220...

G19 is my primary all the way. wear it, sleep with it, take it on long drives, feed it special rounds I've made just for it, have a license plate holder that says 'keep honking! I'm reloading my G19 motherfucker!' -- Silly_Look
