I would advise not sawing anything if you can help it. There's not 100% confirmed data, the the resources out there today say to avoid cutting any bone, especially the spine and skull to prevent spread of CWD onto meat. For just doing a skull mount it's not as big a deal since the meat will already be off. A sawzall will cut bone just fine. There's just not any good reason to be sawing anything with meat. I don't even cut sternums, it's just wasted time and effort. For skulls you need to cut right at the last neck joint with a knife anyway, so why cut it off with a saw first? Just cut it with a knife the first time. You can cut feet off with a saw if you wish. You can cut at the knee joints with a knife with no problem either though, so I don't see the point. It's just messier with a saw. |

Without a doubt the Wyoming saw well made great company and I believe still made in USA I use the hell out of one on deer carry one in my pack elk hunting kind of saved my ass once shot a bull and it slid under a good limb I had to saw to roll him over https://wyomingknife.com/saws/ |
