This is freaking awesome. Not sure how I overlooked this but the ability to take just about every reciprocating type saw blade is just genius!
TOOLAN saw I've added a few other blades, but just a great, compact package for a variety of sawing needs: ROCK6 |

Huh, pretty neat. I had a smaller silky-saw-equivalent as standard, this was maybe heavier but the different blades could be useful, especially for a car kit.

The first two jacknife sawzalls I had were Stanley--- junk plastic, tho they worked OK until they broke, and the big nice thing about them is that they had a space in the handle for blades. I've sawed through 2x4's with one when I had nothing else, and it didn't take all that long, with a good blade
I have a milwaukee, and it is very well made, but no blade storage. I once got a tree jammed into the rear wheel area of my then Ranger, and sawed a sapling out of there with one which was about 4" in dia. |

An interesting bit of information about Sawzall blades is cutting laminate glass. Laminate glass is used in windshields and now increasingly in side windows to prevent occupants from being ejected during rollovers. IF you can use a hammer to make a hole for the Sawzall blade to start in, you can cut the glass out rather easily. There used to be a special tool to remove windshields combining a hammer pick and a demolition blade made for the Fire/Rescue services. These blade holders should work the same.

Got mine a couple days ago and just got a chance to unbox.
While I haven't used it, yet I must say that it seems well made and is super universal. Great for a SHTF when power is limited but you have a pile of blades for your Sawzall etc. Vice grips can still allow you to clamp any blade this provides a better option and decent handle. Very neat all-around saw given the fact you can use almost any blade in it. Perfect for small travel tool kits where you want to include a variety of hand sawing options. |

Adding a battery powered Sawzall to your personal kit might be a bit of over kill. LOL.

Original item linked by ROCK6 received and GTG. The "locking mechanism" is secured by common fasteners and can be easily removed for cleaning if it becomes "clogged".

Then you need shore power to keep a charged battery. Back in the day, we kept a corded Dewalt recip saw in the squad truck in case we got something the hydraulic cutters weren't good for. Later, we put a battery Dewalt unit in it for cutting windshields.

I got mine a couple of weeks back and took the time to get it out and try it on assorted cutting duties.
I’m impressed. I do have one minor complaint. There is no sheath for the hacksaw blade so it wants to get hung up on things in my bag. Fortunately the thin cardboard from the box combined with a little Gorilla Tape and its GTG. I gifted one of these to every household in our group. |

I just put some shrink tubing and heated slowly to tighten up enough to stay on, but not difficult to remove. ROCK6 |
