Someone local has some Cushman Haulers for sale for ~$6k. I'd like something to help on my 3 acres and cruising the neighborhood and the nearby Nat'l Forrest gravel roads. Are these solid? Are these fairly priced? Cushman Haulers Edit 1-20-26: Added a screenshot Attached File |

I don't know about these, dangit, another brand to research. I have noticed used prices are considerably lower in my area than previously, even considering it is winter. Tractors too. |

That's about $2k more than comparable Club Car Carryall is priced. I see a lot of Cushman carts used for landscaping crews on larger HOA neighborhoods. I think that price is a little high unless it is in pristine condition. If it is electric, the batteries can be a big ticket to replace. |

I don't know much, but I know I treat my gas golf cart like it owes me money. It's an old Club Car DS and I drag a little yard trailer around behind it. It has been rock solid and reliable for me. HOWEVER, it is not built to be a side by side. I am absolutely certain that one day it will fail in a spectacular fashion, and when it does I will buy a kei truck. Until then it is great on my little 35 acre property for the way I use it. It is not as fast or as comfortable as a side by side. However I paid $2500 for it in 2020 and I use it 3 or 4 times every week. I have no regrets. Your mileage may vary. If you are ready to spend $6k on the Cushman, either spend less for a golf cart or spend more for a side by side. |

We were looking at side by sides but damn they are a lot of money. We already have a truck two tractors and atv when we started looking. We ended up with two club car carryall turf ii carts for 3k about a year ago. We use them both every day for feeding animals, hauling wood etc. Below are a few things I’d note. Club cars are all aluminum frames and better all around than ezgo imho. They are very easy to work on and parts are cheap. They ride like a log wagon. You can buy long travel suspension kits for them.. but at that point get a sxs. They are very easy to jump on with a beer and ride the property at a leisurely pace. One of ours runs 18mph and the other right at 20mph. The Kawasaki fe350 engines surprised me.. 800lbs in the bed and will climb a steep hill like it’s nothing. I know people who grew up on actual homesteads living off the land with no power farming 100+ acres and all they had were a few small gas tractors. Food for thought  ETA: for 3acres, cruising the neighborhood and gravel fire service roads I would not even consider a SxS. If you get a cushman hauler get the 1200x model.. which it appears most of those are. Not sure where in sc you are but Carolina Custom carts in Conover NC sells new carts - but they also wholesale used carts from golf courses. They generally always have used 1200x models for 3500-4k or so. If it was me I’d do that if I was in a hurry or just keep an eye on FB marketplace for a 1200x, older workhorse, or one of the many club car carryall models. Deals pop up all the time. |

I have a polaris ranger and I am to the point of trading it in and getting an old jeep wrangler UTV's are all so LOUD! I was cruising around the ozarks in a friends WW2 jeep and it was so quite and drove over everything. We could just cruise and chit chat like nothing Get a little newer one and it has heat! (adding heat and a cab to a UTV is $$$$$$) Our old wisconsin 40 acres had really soft ground so I got a UTV that can float over everything. Now we are on an Ozark mountain homestead and I have old logging roads on my property and millions of acres of national forest and trails next to me. Jeep makes better sense and they are cheap. We are on solar and battery and I wouldn't be against an electric UTV Too for just around the property as they are silent. |

I plan on getting a Kai mini Japanese truck. I want to find one with a dump bed, and as far as I know, they all have fold down bed sides to make it a flat bed instead of a pickup box. Better than a golf cart and cheaper than a SxS. SxS prices are insanely stupid. $ 6000 to $8000. 4x4, AC and heat. |
