I just put;
150lbs of rice 200lbs of mixed beans and lentils 50lbs of sugar 20lbs of flour 15lbs of corn flour 10lbs of brown sugar 10lbs of quick oats into 1 gallon 7mil Mylar bags and then into 5 gallon buckets as a start to my food preps. |
We've secretly replaced their dilithium crystals with new Folgers crystals. Now let's watch them go to warp.

I got that unmarked Bushnell scope, 3-9X50, mounted on the Mayors single shot .223.
I thought it would be a bit much but it makes a bad little mammer jammer that is light, quick and should be painful out to 300 yards. Just perfect for the little feller. I had one cheapy Simmons left in the stuff from Bass Pro but it's rear o-ring was in pieces and it won't focus. He's mentioned that single shot .223 prolly 30 times in the last 6 months, wanting a scope for it but wouldn't even spend $25 at the flea market for one. I think he'll be delighted. Been looking over my "new preban" M1A. Been after a good one for decades. Paid way too much. Upon inspection I see the hammer sear is hitting the top of the trigger sear. I've got a question posted in the Armory forum but no solutions yet. I just e-mailed Springfield to see if there is any record of problems with this lot of rifles. Fuckin chicom poly has better finish in many parts an it aint beatin on itself, WTF? Damn it. Second time I've been disapointed with SA M1A's...... Bought a new one 7 years ago for $1350, got it home and noticed the black crinkle paint was flaking off the flaky cheap brown stock. Boy was I pissed. Shoulda kept it and got some walnut. Didn't know any better. Sold it for $100 loss and paid some bills. I've lost almost all of my flats of seeds. Shit. I'll be starting over in a few days when it warms up and they can sit outside without getting frozen. 'Bout all the garden is doing is lots of leaf lettuce is coming up good. Short but several rows good and thick. Several rows of sweet peas are doing good too. Not much else is up yet. I think the red beans and blackeyed peas are fugged. Taters are not up yet either. Dammit. |

In the past few days I've listened to a shit ton of survival podcast episodes, built another nesting box for the chickens, did some reloading (.223), built some upside down (topsy turvy style with 5 gallon buckets, painted OD green) tomato planters, and planted the following in the garden:
Tomatoes Taters Cukes Zucchini Pole Beans Blueberries Broccoli Mustard Greens Chives Peas Romaine Butter Lettuce Strawberries (transplanted 2 year old plants) Basil |

Two days ago had my 19 year old daughter practice dry firing a snubbie I purchased a month ago. Earlier this morning went to my local Walmart and picked up 10 boxes of 10 rounds per box of 1 oz. 12 gauge slugs. This afternoon delivered to my house 5 cases of boxed 8oz. emergency water and several large wound dressing. |

Bought: Springfield XDM 9mm and 5 or 6 mags Glock 19 and 12-15rd mags and 2-31rd mags - installed trijicon night sights Brownells .22lr conversion for AR and 3 Black Dog 27rd Mags 1000rds Prvi 5.56 1500+rds WWB/Blazer Brass 9mm 2000+rds .22LR Federal Bulk Pack County Comm Order - breacher bars / lighters / gerber mini saw thingy / paracord / etc. FN Herstal Tactical Police Shotgun 12ga. 8rd w/ collapsible stock 100+rds 12ga shells Gerber brush machete Thermal tops and bottoms - walmart clearence 2- Wilson Combat ETM 8rds 2pair- Wellco Hot Weather Tan boots - LAPG clearence ALPS Mountaineering 4person tent - Steepandcheap.com New Frame for Jeep TJ - Ultimate BOV project (going to have D60s F/R - stretched w/ 37s - lots of armor - lowest center of gravity possible - not sure for motor yet, i'm thinking the 4.0L due to reliability - Maybe a diesel?? suggestions??) Done: Moved back w/ parents to save $$$ (dont seem to be saving much - spending more on preps!) Going to gym - weight training 5-6 times/week Cardio 3-4times/week Been hiking GFs family farm land/woods a few times aweek to get used to the terrain Theres got to more but i've been doing so much lately I forget Brought a few friends shooting to get them comfortable around the guns |

I will be adding more variety to the supply soon as well. I am also looking for some good water storage options. RIght now we are just filling old juicy juicy bottles. |

It's rainy and cold so I cleaned and lubed all guns today. Made a note of all serial numbers & models and emailed them to work. One of my friends had a crack head neighbor kid (24 YO punk ass) break into his house and stole cash and firearms. Jimmy took the kid fishing and shooting a couple years ago. Trying to help the kid sort out issues. The cops said they thought it was Punk Ass. The cops told Jimmy to call them when he saw Punk Ass. Jimmy didn't want to believe it that Punk Ass betrayed him. Punk Ass admitted it and said he traded the cash and guns for Crack. This is the second time Punk Ass got caught using and doing silly crap.

Well wound up getting Hurricaine allie a Softball setup.....tee, bat, and glove, she loves it though. I did at least order from Wideners, their 9mm special, 3K 122 gr SWC for $ 150. I have used the bullet before, it is good and at $25 per 500......can't beat that. Hit Dicks....last case of 12 g. Gun Club shells. It will go with the rest, I am not big on shotguns, have 5 various Riot guns here, so I need something to feed them. Time to run to WallyWorld. Stuff for the kid. Also some cans to store the bird feed in, just got 100#s of it.
Yea big deal, but there is a flock of wild turkeys that now come up to te house....if it gets bad....one tom is at least 30#s...ssshhh MrsWind thinks they are cute and I can not shoot them. I think of them as future food stores. |

Yesterday, I just put about 80-lbs of lentils and other types of beans into 1-gallon mylars, and it started to get a little tedious... You have my respect. I planted some corn (that I started indoors) and tomatoes and peppers into the garden. I am going to work a little more on the outside rabbit cages and lay a few more courses of brick on the pizza oven today. One of my rabbit does had a stillborn last night, and I am waiting for her to finish kindling. This was a pretty big kit too (about 3 inches stretched out). I haven't seen one other kit yet. Hopefully, she'll have them by tomorrow. |

Went to 2 Wal Marts and the local joke of a store formerly known as Sportsman's Warehouse. I've got more ammo in my garage than that sad excuse for a sporting goods store. I dont see me going back there ever. They were as bad as back during Christmas. Im not sure why they have employees there since all they can do is shrug and say "we're supposed to be getting a shipment in." Yeah sure you are.
Bought a gun safe. Started thinking that all my guns and ammo could disappear in about 5 minutes if someone ever got in the house. Went to Sam's and bought Easter food but also grabbed 25#'s of rice. 6lb Peter Pan creamy, case of corn and peas, 6# of pasta and more water. |

BTW-about a month ago, I got rid of my $700per month truck payment, and now I am driving a $500.00 paid for s10 Blazzer. The next truck will not be a $40k truck, and will hopefully be paid for in cash. Also got rid of the $285per month Expidition payment and the wife is driving a $600.00 paid for minivan.

Small gunshow in Clinton, Missouri today. Picked up 600 Argentine surplus, brass case, annealed, .308, ' 81 for $300.
In one full 50 cal can. Crimped and sealed primers and crimped bullets. Guy on my M1A Armory post said it's 147 gr. Also bought a new camelback for $29, type that straps to pack, doesn't have any shoulder straps, just short ones to wrap pack frame. |

Sadly if I hadn't lost all my ammo in a boating accident, that is how I have been withmost stores for the past 2 years. Did you like that sale? 3K for $150. I wish they would do it 45-70 405gr? I need 750 of them. |

We went with a 32 by 32 mostly will be maters and taters with some sqaush and cukes and a few rows of other stuff. Got my new 6.8 rra carbine in. |

In the last month I have sold off 4 rarely used handguns. Eliminated .41 Mag and .32ACP completely from the collection. The cash takes up a lot less room in the safe.
I also zeroed the M1 Garand, Colt sporter & M44 at a long distance range. Modified and zeroed all the .22LR semi auto rifles. Continuing my evaluation of the LCP as a potential secondary firearm. Signed up for a handgun, 870 & M4 class. Part of my continuing effort at simplifying by getting rid of what i dont use and improving my abilities with what i keep. |
| I bought two Pelican cases off Craiglist to use as ammo cases. They're both model 1430 and really fit a good amount of ammo. They also can fit a good amount of mags. I got the two for $65, they came with the foam too but I don't think I'll be using it, other than the top and bottom thin layers. |
