I know their bolt is not standard but don't know if a dpms bolt will work in their guns. Enhanced bolt |

AR10 was patterned off the SR25 in most of the critical dimensions, but used modifed M14 mags instead because of the Clinton AWB. It was 1996 when Karl Lewis and David Dorbeck basically reverse-engineered the SR25, and even used an SR25 upper receiver group for a lot of the initial testing. History of the AR10, from 1955 to Present DPMS came much later in the early 2000s with the LR-308, with 6061 receivers using a different receiver cut between the upper and lower, which complicated things even more. With the LR-308 and AP4, there are 3 different receiver heights. Best thing is to stay with one company and buy complete rifles from competent manufacturers, otherwise you get to be the engineering department for your own set of parts that were never designed with each other in mind. |

That was my orginal intent. Just seems like the B-series is getting left behind. I'm about 85-90% decided to sell the 3 I have and start over. Basing the replacements on the MEGA billets and JP bolts/Gemtech BC One of the things I keep coming back to though is that the Armalite B-series GenII magazines are built solid. Zero feeding/loading problems with them. |

Yes, I personally haven't seen any issues with the ArmaLite steel mags, and they allow longer COL when hand-loading. I've shot more of them working with coalition partners overseas, and can't recall any malfs even in arctic conditions. Armalite makes a damn fine rifle. |
