I have a tripod I want to shoot off of. Is the Geissele MK18 16.5" Super Modular Rail, better than attaching an Area 419 Arcalock Dovetail Rail 12” M-LOK to an M-Loc rail? The Area 419 combo is a little cheaper, but the Geissele rail is one piece, so there are no joints to cause wriggling. Either one would allow me to attach an AR to a tripod.

For varminting, is shooting off a tripod better than a bipod? Or is there a better way to do this? Below is what I am trying to explain.

either one will do the job for , just pick the one you like.

I switched all of mine over to arca every long rifle has a arca rail
even my 1022 Ruger , on my varmint rifle i use two 70 mm arca rails
I can keep my bipod on and still slide the rifle on a tripod.
or have the bipod in the pack and slide on as needed.
once you added one and see the benefits you will add more .

all of my rails i bought on Ebay i used 200 to 300 mm on the long ones
7 to 9 inches and the 70 mm are 3 inches long , all of my bipods were
converted to 70 mm arca clamps , and i do have a couple 50 mm clamps
that i use on my spotting scopes , I run arca even on my crossbow for the tripod.
