What grain and ammo do you prefer for elk. I mainly use my 308 or 7mm 08 due to the weight and it is plenty.
I have 140 and 160 grain federal partition for the 7mm mag. Would the 160 be a good choice or do I need heavier and maybe a bonded bullet of some kind? |

When I carry my 7mm Mag, I use 162 ELDX for everything, including elk.
