I thought I was done buying rifles and then I see this.  An 8 pound, 18 inch barrel handy accurate rifle.  Damn, now I need to start saving money again.  This thing would be awesome with a titanium suppressor and a light weight mid to long range optic.  Lighter than my Gladius but just about as handy, set it up for a bit less range.  I know there are lighter options out there but this looks like it checks my boxes.

Anyone had any experience with these or did it just come out?

Nice looking practical rifle, $5k is a lot of cash though.

Id rather order the stock from Manners, grab a Proof 16" carbon fiber wrapped barrel, American Rifle Company Coup De Grâce action, have LRI, SAC or PVA put together the barreled action and save $1k or so.

Reminds me of the old Remington LTR which I always though was a very practical rifle. You could also buy a good rifle set up like you want and chop the barrel to 16-18 and roll with it Tikka Bergara Remington whatever.

That seems like solid advice. I've talked to a couple people with GAP rifles and they all shot spectacularly but if you are trying to save some bucks any modern action and prefits seems to work pretty well.

I like it. Not sure on the weight. My Gladius build is not light but damn is it accurate!

Website says 8 pounds.  Pretty sure my Gladius is just a hair north of ten without a scope.  The Gladius has a bigass S&B on it, where I'd probably go with an NX8 or something on a rifle like this.  You ain't lying about the Gladius being accurate.

I am also a bit drawn to the Bergara MgMicro, which comes in 2 pounds and 2 grand lighter, but doesn't come to me with the confidence in accuracy that my GAP rifles have lead me to expect from their offerings.  Then again from 1-500 yards I really don't need gnat's ass precision I guess.  Ah well, it'll give me something to kick around while I'm saving benjamins.
