What are the bare minimum features and/or model, for an entry level shooter in the Kestrel wind meter lineup? I have ballistic applications on the phone already.

Wind speed (of course) and RH. But you’ll get temp along with that.
Bare minimum would be wind speed, but I think those come with temp standard. |

The 2700 would be the most basic model I’d recommend. Having said that, saving your money until you could get the 5700 would be a good idea. You can even get the basic Ballistic model and upgrade it to the Elite at a later date if you get into long range shooting (that’s what I did).
