6.5 creedmoor started with a bartlein uncontoured blank 1 in 8 twist trued Remington 700 action and trued and sleeved bolt manners t5 dnz mount vortex pst timney trigger ptg bottom metal also got bored with a ball end mill and a rotary head.

16 lines, .450 spacing center to center, 1/4 ball end mill to I think it was .050 deep maybe .075, can't remember. I did quite a few while I was in school but the last one was probably May of last year. any local machine shop or gunsmith with a mill should be able to accomplish it  Takes like an hour to hour and a half on a manual machine. The two tone really pops, but doing a high polish of the entire bolt afterwards looks pretty good too.12

This range used to have a 200 yard lane for positional shooting. Now all they have are benches at 100. 200 rounds down the pipe so far. 165 grain amaxs and 168 grain matchkings were shooting under an inch for 5 rounds with the same poi. |
