I recently picked up a Noreen ULR50 and I'm looking for a mount for my optic. Its an Athlon ares btr2 4.5-27 with 24 Mil total elevation. I was thinking of getting a 30 MOA mount but most mounts I see are 20 MOA. I saw that ADM has a 30 MOA bolt gun mount but I've read about issues with vertically split rings. https://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/641/ Any issues with this mount or should I look elsewhere? Also am I wrong for looking for 30 MOA instead of 20? Locally my longer ranges are 600-1k but I travel to a spot a few times a year where I can shoot as far as I want and want to be able to stretch its legs when I get the chance. |

I would not put anything QD on a .50. Get a good bolt on mount. Also the vertical split rings are a pain in the ass. 30 MOA is fine. The scope has enough internal elevation. That said if I could only find a good 20 MOA mount I would get it over a QD. How much MOA does the base on the rifle have? |

They offer it in 0 and 30 moa. I need to call them on Monday and find out which this is as I picked it up used and didn't ask the seller at the time. The Athlon also has 10 mils in the reticle, (Christmas tree stlye) so that will add to the available elevation as well. |

Lol just watch for any issues with movement. Also look on the base. They usually mark them on there somewhere as to what moa they are. Look on the bottom too. |
| I run Nightforce Unimounts on several rifles and they've been good to go. |
Ellen; Clark, I think it'd be best if everyone went home... before things get worse.
Clark; WORSE? How could things get any worse? Take a look around here, Ellen. We're at the threshold of hell.
