Anyone running LT845 on a magnum? Especially a MK13 Mod 5 or Mod 7. I have a Mod 7 and will be looking at scope options for next year. Just wondering how the 845 holds up to magnum recoil when torqued properly.

We probably won't know the results for many years, so don't expect to see these in a regular infantry battalion anytime soon (MARSOC has been using these rifles with the S&B 5-25 PSR for a few years now). Interestingly, the USMC SOI-W sniper team used ATACR scopes on their M40A6 rifles during this year's International Sniper Competition. One of my friends and sniper platoon members is on that team and is in the first picture below. He says that the equipment used in the comps can be stuff that isn't issued to the sniper platoons, such as the ATACR and JP LRP-07 (not completely sure of the JP model, but that's what it looks like in the pic). If you're building an M40A6 or Mk13 Mod 7 clone, take this info into account and build accordingly. The PSR optic is appealing except it only has 26ish mils Of internal adjustment which is annoying when shooting out to a mile or more. The ATACR provides a little more flexibility in that regard. I may be mistaken but it’s my understanding that the rifles are issued to the SEALs without optics and are outfitted as they see fit. I’m guessing Marine units that get them, get them as a package? |

Can someone explain the difference between the KAC Mk11 suppressor and the m110 suppressor? I’m doing research for a mk13 build.
Is one better than the other? I know the mk11 is clone correct but if m110 works better I would go that route. Thanks |

If your gonna go through the trouble of doing it...just do it right. Or if you feel the need to have a FH, paint the M110 can and leave it on the gun. Nobody will know except you. View Quote This appears to be the correct case for the Mod 0 and is from one of the two original companies that supplied them to Crane - http://icc-case.com/impact-case-5214-double-scoped-rifle/ Kalispel went out of business in 2010, so unless you find a used case this isn't really an option. Out of my 14 original SEAL used cases, 2 are Kalispel and 12 are ICC. It appears that the ICC cases were more prevalent for the Mod 0 (well, at least they are according to this small sample size). The case you listed, GC521404, is made by Explore Products - https://www.exploreproducts.com/kalispel-style-scoped-rifle-case-521404.htm. Explore Products didn't have a government contract for these cases and they only started producing them after Kalispel went out of business. Not sure why anyone would want one of these for their Mod 0 build when ICC (company who actually made the Mod 0 cases) is still around and selling the correct case. Go with ICC in the first link. According to Alan Brown, the foam was uncut. Probably the easiest case ever for a clone rifle, no foam cutting! |

Is anybody here around the San Antonio area?? I'll be there from Jan 4 through Feb 23 for Combat Arms training and I'm thinking about bringing my MK13 to shoot on the weekends. Will have to rent a car this time because I'm not putting the miles on my jeep again from NY lol. It should be sent out any day now, but I won't have too much time for load development if any, so I'm very eager to shoot her. If anyone wants to get together with me and show me all the good spots while I'm down there hit me up.
