Looks nice, what are your thoughts on the Magpul bipod? Ordered one in FDE and not expected to ship for another 20-30 days.

I put my new Hawkins scope mount on my Vudoo a while back. Hawkins already makes some of the best rings and bottom metal out there. Now he has kicked it up a notch. The top rail is great to hold on to when resting your rifle on barricades or it gives you a place to mount stuff on. The bubble level is in a perfect place and doesn't get in the way.

Attached File @Bearcat24 Sorry for the photo quality here, it was still getting light, snow falling, old iPhone, etc. GA Precision rifle in .308 Win. built in 2001 Krieger 1-10" 20.5" barrel, min spec chamber Blueprinted LH SA Rem. 700 8-40 base screws McMillan HTG Bedding and finished in OD green by Iron Brigade Armory Badger base, rings, lug, bottom metal Trijicon 1-8x28mm TBAC .30 BA Jewell trigger at 3# SSG bolt handle installed about 1/2" farther up the bolt handle root than normal. Gre-Tan FP assembly Hog Saddle, head, tripod from Triad Rifle shoots 175 Berger or SMK's in the .400 range with good components and the bullets about .002" off the lands. COAL is 2.805 and they fit in the mag. This rifle is getting re-stocked to a non sniper fill adjustable HTG and surgeon DBM bottom metal soon. Just before this was taken I dropped the biggest doe out of a group of 8 at about 85 yards with my own load-Barnes 130 TTSX, Lapua, 210M, Varget, etc. There was snow and ice on the suppressor, got a little melted after I shot. |
I'm thinking of necking up the 6.5 Creedmoor to take a .308 bullet. It would make a nice round for hunting deer and offer a wider range of bullets.
