I had a friend that was killed a couple years ago and his son is now reaching the age to deer hunt.  He wanted to use his dads old Winchester Model 100 this past year and ended up having some issues pulling the slide back where it would get about half way and then seize up.  We ended up freeing it, but it was decided that it should be gone through and made sure that it was safe before giving it back to him.  I did some searching online and saw that there is a firing pin recall which I will be taking care of and replacing.  One thing I haven't been able to find is the lubrication points on it for when I reassemble it.  Does anyone know if there are any parts in particular on this rifle that should get a shot or bead of oil during reassembly?

Thanks

Be very careful doing the fireing pin recall yourself as the model 100's were infamous for stock breakage....during re-assembly. Don't know what availability on replacements are, would think they'd be almost impossible to find. Also be aware of the 100's throwing the first shot....IIRC mine would throw it about 10:00 & 2-3". The rest of the mag would then proceed to shoot a "holes touching" group.
That being said I still regret selling mine.
  I believe the bolt/head rotates.

Thanks for the heads up.  Was this while putting the entire assembly back into the stock?

Also, did you lubricate anything in particular?

Thanks
