I'm interesting in a pair of gloves for the range, but nothing too pricey or thick as I won't be training outside too often this year, around $25 - $30 or thereabouts.. any recommendations or "stay way froms" ? I've seen Magul, Hatch, Caldwell, LA Police Gear, etc. Not looking for anything too thick or padded. |

The mechanix gloves work well and can be found at most auto supply stores. Just to be clear, I only wear a glove on my support hand to mitigate abrasions when manipulating a rifle. Don't like the loss of tactile and touch sensitivity on my firing hand and trigger finger. Well aware of fingerless gloves but just don't see the need for a glove on the firing hand. |

$12 whitewater brand from clothing sales. I cut the trigger finger tip off. When pistol shooting the greatly improved my grip because my sweating hands got slippery. When rifle shooting they help keep my support hand from getting burned. |

| I only wear gloves if I really need to. They can be helpful to protect your hands from scratches or cold weather. For CMP competition a glove on the support hand is common. Fingerless gloves on the firing hand are good for below freezing days. I have used them on those occasions. |
