Or do you have a gun but aren’t entirely comfortable using it? Maybe you just want to be a better shooter. For all of the above - this is the class for you. In 8 hours, we will cover everything you need to be both safe and capable with handgun. In addition, we will cover legal aspects related to owning, carrying and using a gun, work through clearing malfunctions, and test your skills with some competitions. Topics include: How handguns work Safe handling and operation of a pistol Loading and unloading The importance of posture, sight alignment, grip and trigger control Understanding point of aim vs. point of impact at varying distances Shooting drills to get you comfortable firing a pistol Getting back in the fight when a malfunction occurs How to reload appropriately and safely Equipment options, recommendations and modifications Self-defense mindset Lively competitions to stress your newly acquired skills We will start with a rundown of the order of events along with a safety briefing, then jump straight into personalized shot analysis. Corrections will be made and you’ll be able to see in real time how fundamentals matter. Ballistics, metrics, and repetition will then follow. We’ll have short breaks for snacks, hydration and reloading, and a break for lunch. You will work on reloads and fix malfunctions, and leave class feeling safer and more confident.
