Say you are given 200 rds a month to train with. Do you split it into multiple range days or one long range session? What drills would you run? I'm asking this because I I can only really afford so much ammo a month and want to be able to replenish what I shoot. I do dry fire and draw drills at home on a relatively frequent basis, but would am unsure how to do live-fire practice with limited amounts of ammo a month. Any help is appreciated!

I searched low round count drills for you on youtube.

This should have plenty of drills.

I would do 4 50 round practices.

All drills using USPSA or IDPA target.  Use a shot timer if you have one. Shoot for 90% A's.

The drills below would cover the basics except having a proper grip for recoil control.  It's easy to do a really fast draw with a half assed grip and get a good hit firing only one round.  Much harder when firing multiples.  Don't develop bad habits.

Draw and fire one round at multiple distances. Repeat twice: 7 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards, 25 yards.  8 rounds total.
Distance 10 yards. Stepping draw in different directions and fire one round, Repeat twice.  Forward, right, left, backward. 8 rounds total.
Two targets at 10 yards 3 yards apart. Draw and fire one round on each target on the move. Repeat twice. Forward, right, left, back. 16 rounds total.
Distance 10 yards. Draw fire one round, reload and fire one round.  Repeat 5 times.  10 rounds total.
Distance 10 yards.  Draw fire one round strong hand only. 4 rounds total.
Distance 10 yards.  Draw transfer to weak hand and fire one round. 4 rounds total.

I have been working on this for a while (even came up with a plan the last ammo crunch) but I made a video this time.

If I had 200 rounds a month, I would do this ever other week.  On off weeks I would do something like a figure eight drill or offhand shooting reloading.

Some Options:

CSAT PISTOL INSTRUCTOR STANDARDS (25 rds)

3 Seconds or Less (20 rds)

5 Combative Shooting Drills You MUST Practice

Larry Vickers on Accuracy Standards (much of this can be accomplished by daily dryfire)

Its great to hit the range at least once per week with dryfire in-between... If you miss a week, make it up in trigger pulls next week.
