Craig Douglas has been teaching a short force-on-force training event at recent Rangemaster Tactical Conferences.  This is a detailed review from the Red Team from 2022:

Experiential Learning Lab (Force-on-Force) Observations from the 2022 Rangemaster Tactical Conference

The scenario in 2023 was changed, but the results were otherwise similar.  This year the scenario was a domestic dispute and the student was to escort a woman to her car... when the abusive spouse shows up by surprise and initiates a confrontation.

Domestic disputes are one of the toughest situations you can get.  I watched one student after another crash and burn.  They did just like they trained... stood still, out in the open, when they identified a deadly force threat (badguy pulling his pistol)... most students initiated their draw and were promptly shot multiple times at close range by the Red Team.  One guy was so foolish as to stand physically in between the husband and wife.  He got shot.  Another made an unconscious furtive motion and also got shot.  When her scenario got serious, one girl did a sprint out of the training area and never looked back... she was one of a handful that lived... another girl hid behind the engine block of a vehicle and called 911...she lived... another girl wisely used the vehicle for concealment and shot the husband when the red team gave her a reason to, but had to contend with an angry wife afterwards and backed up with pistol in hand until she tripped and fell to the ground.

I have great respect for those that took part in the training.  Everyone learned something.  Many learned just by watching.  Craig Douglas and his team did an outstanding job.  Once you have a proficiency with your firearm, scenario training MUST be a priority... while you absolutely need to maintain your firearms skills... firearms skills are only a small part of actually winning fights, as most fights never go to guns.  OODA loop and tactics rule.

Out of the 400 attendees/instructors/RSOs at TACCON 2023... only 15 attended this life saving training.  While the Experiential Learning Lab wasn't the only scenario event, as near as I can tell only around 5% of those at TACCON 2023 did force-on-force... and it exposed MASSIVE training deficiencies with most attendees.

My feel for it is that its more comfortable for people to attend a lecture, do a live fire training session, or even a shooting competition than Force-on-Force(FoF).  One of the girls that did the Shivworks Lab said that she didn't have an idea what she was signing up for.  IIRC she was the one that hid behind cover and dialed 911.

Strong recommend for Craig Douglas and Shivworks.  I've been training FoF in general and with the material from Craig's videos specifically for many many years and for me it was a great confirmation that I am trained for the real fight.

Force on force/ pressure testing is where you find out what works and the weird things you might unknowingly do.

I’ve been to ECQC; and I can say that it is the best run, best thought out and best instructed course I’ve ever been to.

Planning for EWO next year.

Tac Con or the Combatives Summit is a future goal.

Yes same thoughts here, one of the courses everyone should attend at least once. Excellent course. Well worth the time/money/travel.
