err, I mean volunteers to help me out with a few projects for this forum. I'm looking for a few threads created that I can link to in the new announcement at the top of the Forum. I would like to see one thread on the basic history of the AK-47 and it's variants. Pics included would be nice too. I would also appreciate a thread for the newbies about the many choices of variants available. I would also like it if you could keep the first post up to date. Members could add info via posts about any new options that pop up. Also, feel free to post any suggestions for threads topics you guys would like to see included. |

I offered today to dalesimpson to create a thread on converting a NHM-90 to conform to 922. When I was researching it I couldn't find how to change out the FCG (my search tool doesn't seem to be working so I was going through threads one at a time). I haven't started it yet but I ordered the parts and could show a step by step w/photos and include the 922 laws and the "Parts counter".
There seem to be a lot of tacked threads that can be confusing to go through, especially if you have to go through them one at a time. If they could be organized somehow to consolidate them I think it would be less confusing and there seems to be a lot of multiple posts that cover the same things in different sections. If we had a how to tack/thread with all of the how to and build stuff, a photo tack/ thread, a quality and manufacturer tack/thread and so on. Or have a tack for "how to" stuff that includes staining/finishing, the folding stock, the paracord wrap and so on. I think this would clean up the sections a little and make them more user friendly. Just a thought.

Just a thought. For now, I would like to focus on threads for this forum. Once this one gets squared away, we could always move to the BIY Forum, etc... I think your conversion thread would fit in several forums. I'm sure we could make it work in whatever forum you choose to post it in. |
