Sorry i do not know where else to ask this. A friend of mine passed away a while ago and his wife is getting ride of a few things, i am trying to help her.
He had a box with a saiga 12 that is in parts. Drum mag Several regular mags But stock not installed Remainder of gun seems to be together but no trigger, guard or grip. I noticed on the one side it has two spot welds that clealry are not original. She is asking what it is worth and i have no clue. I appreciate any help here you can lend. Other thread got locked and was told to put it here. Thanks all! |

These go all day long on gunbroker for $1500-1700 without a box. That one is an easy $1500+,show me where you can get a Polytech spiker for $1200 and i will take every one of them. |

Figure less anywhere else,but with a high value item like this if someone wants to sell ,my advise is to go to where the prices and the market for these items is the highest and greatest. |

Anyway, not an "AK guy" so I'm not exactly sure what I have here. It says SAIGA on the side but also has RUSSIAN AMERICAN ARMORY COMPANY which I figure did the work on the gun. Looks to be cerakoted or perhaps KG gun cote. Finish looks pretty good and even all over. All numbers appear to match on bolt/barrel/reciever. Appears to have an after market flash hider as I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. Perhaps that a 922 compliance part. Pistol grip also looks after market. Stock is ACE folder and the picatinny foregrip is a Brugger and Thomet (with some KAC rail covers). Trigger is a Tapco G2 (another 922 part obviously). No pictures of the mags but they are black polymer ORLITE mags. Most important probably...this is .223/5.56 chambered. He mentioned that the nick in the wooden forward grip area was there when he got it. It comes with the two 30 round Chinese mags that originally came with the rifle as well as the owners manual. The serial number is a 5 digit number range. So, if anyone can provide further information on this rifle, or give me an idea what it's worth, I'd be very grateful. This way I can go back to him and let him know. Thanks in advance! Probably similar to the one posted above yours, right around $1k I'd take the thumbhole stock off and see if it is a slant cut receiver or not; something people who want to change out the furniture usually want to know. |

Ironwood designs is the place to get the correct slant cut rear stock for these |
Got a pair of Pap M92's and looking for the value and wondered about the difference in handguards. Top one has the rear sight blade missing but I was reading about people replacing it with the adjustable parts from a A2 sight. Both bores are in good to very good condition.

Just wondering what everyones opinion is on my Polytech AKS. It has some pitting on one side and on the butt plate. Rust has been removed off the side and then cold blue put on there and the wood is darker instead of the original blonde but the bore and inside looks immaculate. Also have 2 chinese smoothback chrome follower magazines with it.
386 factory with a serial # in the 980** range. Thanks!

$1200-1500 considering the lack of box and accessories and the rust pitting, but the Polytech Spikers still command a premium. I agree. I myself would put it around $1200-1350 due to the pitting which will hurt value. Auction prices would probably go higher than my estimate as the Polytech's have skyrocketed in the past few years. Its more of a shooter than a collectible imho. |
