| Purchased a 75 rd drum magazine loaded it and went to wind it. The key came off the back! I can put it in and continue to wind. There is no broken or bent metal. How do I reattach the key to where it won't come off? |

Happened to me once years ago.. instead of trying to get the key on (and hope it stayed in) I went to the hardware store and bought a large black key ring. I've still got it somewhere, it worked perfectly and has lasted many, many wind-ups. Guess it looks a little odd, but at the time those drums were going for around 300 bucks a pop... I sure wasn't gonna run out and buy a new one!
...guess that really doesn't answer your question though.

Man, do I remember those dark days! I gleefully bought a Romanian drum for $65 from Copes last year - first drum I've eve had. Haven't fired it but have static-tested it and it's fine. BTW, I was reading a news article recently about some dork who was brandishing his AK somewhere, and they said he had 'a 100-round drum magazine loaded with 73 rounds'. I had to laugh - 73 rounds is the standard load for a 75-round drum, and if there's a 100-round drum it's news to me. |

There is indeed a Chicom 100 rounder...LOTS of them were imported the same time as the 75 rounders. I own two of them currently. Paid dearly for them right after the AWB sometime around '96.
The Chinese also sold a 120 round AR drum magazine... I have one of those also. Im a drum whore!
