| So I just got a gp1975 and want to get rid of the crappy taco furniture. Want to go with better quality polymer. Was looking at surplus polymer but wasn't sure if I need to stick with American made furniture to make it 922r compliant. Also is the surplus polymer quality stuff or should I just go with arsenal furniture? |

Here's the answer right here. 1 US mag equals 3 US parts. GARY Quoted:

Just replace the furniture with whatever you want , use a US made mag for compliance What I've been doing of late has been installing euro furniture along with a US FCG (3), a US grip, usually a Hogue, and a US made floor plate or follower to get me to 5 wo a muzzle accessory. |

Parts that aren't in the rifle have no bearing. 922r is about the number of foreign parts being less than ten. The number of foreign parts does not increase when the mag is removed. |

So read folks: With a mag in rifle, your parts count is 16, so you need 6 US parts. If a mag is not inserted in your rifle, it's parts count is 13, so you need 3 US parts. Hanguards, pistol grip, buttstock, and trigger group (hammer, disconnector, trigger= 3parts) and you have 6 US parts and 10 foreign parts, this makes you legal and you can use whatever mags you like, it's really that easy. |
