I installed it with the springs that were already on the hammer and trigger. LOVE IT. Might try the other spring just for grins some day when I'm bored with nothing to do.

Mazeratis and Mazdas folks. All my AKs have the AKT.

I do use the aux spring and I think it's the perfect weight in my 74's; it's so light that I'd be afraid of accidental bumpfiring on 7.62 AKs, and it's quite easy to bumpfire the 74's with it already.

Explain...

I don't like the break, it's indistinct and unpredictable.

I've been told that's just how AK triggers work, but I had a G2 once that had a very distinct break.

Mine too. When compared to my Draco or Norinco, the AKTE is 10x better.

I've seen others with similar results, I may contact ALG.

Yes, I find it easier to do fast shot strings with the extra spring in there, but I do some surface refinement and shorten them a little more. I have yet to use one right out of the box, so I am not sure if it would still work the same way for me.

Have one installed on my m92 sbr, best trigger I've ever pulled on an ak.

Got 3 AKT's installed my AK's.

I used the Aux spring depending on pull force.  On 2 AK's, trigger pull was way too light w/out the aux springs.
On 1 AK, I initially installed & removed after several range sessions.

I think the big thing is just the difference between a single and two stage triggers.  AK triggers tend to be single stage with long pulls.. makes them a bit on the unpredictable side when you are slowly squeezing the trigger.  Especially when they are really light like the AKT and G2.

I like the AKT more than my G2, since the pull is much shorter.  But neither of them have any sort of predicable feel that lets me know when the hammer is going to drop.  Next AK trigger I try will be the RSA.
