I have a Lancaster AK on order through a local dealer and I'm looking to do a few modifications to the rifle. I want to make an AK-103 clone out of the rifle.  I'll most likely add a MPK2 side rail from Tanal as well as an EKP-8-02 Kobra.  I will also add a Specter Gear MOUT sling with a solid buttstock adaptor from Blackhawk.  The problem I'm having is figuring out what to do about the brake so I figured I'd ask you guys for some help.
It seems like I've got three options out there.

1.  I could remove the front sight block and replace it with a 24mm threaded one.
Which I'm not really wild about doing.  But, if it's the best option I will.
As far as adding a AK-74 FSB and brake to 7.62mm rifle goes, is it safe?
It seems like the difference in 5.45mm and 7.62mm could cause a problem for both the FSB and the brake.  Also is the AK-74 Brake effective with 7.62?

2.  I could install a tapered AK-74 'style' brake.  AIM Surplus has these for about $20.  Does anyone have one of these?  If you do I would really appreciate opinions/pictures.  I just can't seem to find a picture of one of these installed on a rifle or what people have to say about these.

3.  I could buy a 24mm/14mm adaptor and install a AK-74 brake. Again I'm worried about the safety of a 5.45mm brake on a 7.62mm.  Anyone have any experience with this setup?  Any pics?  It seems like with this setup it would make removal/installation of the brake for cleaning a bit of a bear.  As far as holding the retaining pin goes.

Sorry for all the questions I just can't seem to find the answers anywhere.  I figured you guys would definately be in the know.

Thanks,
K.
