Here is a link to some pictures of my build

http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=51&t=127560

I took my little home made rifle out hunting yesterday afternoon and came home with the beacon!

The shot was about 75 yards and I took a shoulder shot. The NC Star scope is not what I plan to have...upgrade coming soon...but it is better than the red dot I had on it for the build pictures. This scope was given to me and has some junk glass in it. When the scope is set at 9x about half of the field of view is out of focus...not that bad if you back down on the power settings.

Ammo: Wolf black box 123gr HP...very nice wound channel, exited the off shoulder, though the lower part of shoulder blade bone. No bones hit on entry...

Nice eating size hog.It looks like the 7.62x39 got the job done easily.Any details on your build,parts used?What top rail are you using?I've been thinking of trying to use my AK for a hog or deer rifle.I would use it for about 100 yard or less shots.I'm trying to decide on scope or red dot,side mount or top rail mount.Thanks for any info.

Some of those details are on the link to the original build;

The rail I'm using is the Gator Bakk...it is plenty solid for scope use. Nothing like those rails on the dust cover. For 100 yards and less you would easily be GTG!
