I'd like to add a mount to my AK. Curious about quality vs. price. Those Ultimaks do look very appealing, however, I would like to mount a low magnification scope, the next step up from a red dot scope. Because of this, I would like to mount it a little farther back on the rifle, perhaps over the reciever or over the rear sight. As a side-note, I am also curious if there are any reliable mounting solutions for an AK-47 that will still allow me to use the iron sights if I desire. No I have no side mount. www.ak47.net/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=56&t=105829 You'll need either quick release rings to get to irons, a 1-4x, or have a side rail installed so you can use the std 4x24 that allows you to peek under for irons. I vote the mount linked above and a 1-4x. |
