Hey guys,

Just wondered if anyone had taken the long brake off of their AMD's and replaced and registered them as an sbr? Are the barrels threaded right where they end underneath the current brake that's on them? Basically, if I took the current long brake off and registered it as an sbr, could I just screw one of these on and be done with it? Thanks!

If you have the factory 12 1/2" barrel, Yes there are threads and yes that should thread on.

Thanks a lot man, I have one of the TGI imported ones from Centerfire Systems. I'm pretty positive its the original barrel.

On the original barrel, the sight base  is right on the gas block, about 1/8" - 1/4" apart. Also, the barrel under the gas tube will have half a dozen or so markings/numbers.
