Does anyone know of any tips or modifications to wring the last bit of accuracy out of the AK?    Maybe something to improve it a little.

Good quality ammo such as Barnaul or Silver Bear will yield much better accuracy out of your AK than Wolf.   The AK just doesn't have the inherent accuracy traits that an AR does but too me it is more than acceptable provided you use good ammo.  The other thing you could do is mount a Kobra collimator sight which should help a little depending on how well you can use your iron sights.

I have a Bulgarian 74 I built earlier this year from a kit and I can consistently hit steel welding tanks at 300 yards firing from the prone position with stock sights using Barnaul 60gr FMJ ammunition.

I tig welded a H&K rear sight to the top cover of my 74
and it made a world of difference!!

I can put a 5 shot group all inside of a 5" shoot-n see target at 200yrds
(on a bench rest of course!)

Funny how we have to a large extent lost sight of the fact that the AK-47, AK-74 and AR-15 were all pretty much designed in response to late and post WWII studies that determined that about 85% of all battle field casualties were caused by random gun fire at a range of less than 100 yards.

In the history of the *Kalashnikov/Stoner designs the AK forfieted to a certain extent long range accuracy for simple functionality and the AR forfiets, again to a certain extent simple functionality for accuracy.

Now I'm not here to argue about the benefits of either or yet again ressurrect that old argument fo which is better.  I own both and respect each for what they are but if you want a general use rifle to punch nice paper patterns at ranges over 200 yards with a scope, buy a .308.

*Kalishnikov depending on who you talk to.

What's real funny is that some people post on subjects that  what they write is redundant.
We have not "lost sight" with the original question being,

"Does anyone know of any tips or modifications to wring the last bit of accuracy out of the AK? Maybe something to improve it a little.

Some things, can be improved apon, with enough minds and testing.
that's why people,float barrels,add adjustable triggers,add peep sights
Ect.........And to military rifles mind you

The HK sight looks good - what HK weapon was it made for, and did it come with a base ?

Thanks

MP5 or 93 will work.I suppose you could use an old CETME sight,
The good thing is the front sight post can be
drifted and raised and lowered to compensate for the new rear sight.
