Hi guys,

I don't post here much, but I thoroughly enjoy looking regularly at the wealth of information people contribute. I have been having a problem determining the right Aimpoint for my underfolder, so I was hoping somebody could help.

I have a Polish underfolder with a TWS railed topcover. I placed an EOTech on it, but it sat waaaay too high for any type of a cheek weld. I am pretty sure an Aimpoint Micro (H-1 or T-1) with the factory mount would sit low enough for a proper cheek weld, but what about the other Aimpoints? How about a PRO, for example?

And secondly, if you reply that a "regular" Aimpoint would work, what would be the proper mount for it? I would think I would need something that placed it basically right on top of the railed topcover.

Thanks in advance and as always, pictures are welcome!

H-1 or T-1 on an Ultimak gas tube would be my ideal set-up.  Lightweight, compact, co-witness with the irons.

I ran a TRS-25 on an Ultimak tube for years and loved it.

Second the T1/Ultimak combo.

The love of my life:

Has anyone ever fried an optic on an Ultimak rail?

The one I had got hot really fast during use. Never killed the optic, but the possibility concerned me.

It is the best placement for a red dot on an UF, though.

I've seen two first-hand accounts posted by the actual users, one involving an Eotech and the second a Trijicon RMR.  Only 2 I have seen, the rest is usually speculation or hearsay.

My TRS-25 has been through the fire many times and it just shrugs it off and keeps on going (and going, and going).
